road untravelled

i missed three shuttle bus rides today. not one, not two, THREE! and fyi the bus comes every half an hour. and why? because i had obediently tuned my clock to the catholic high school clocks, which is conveniently ten minutes slow. oh vell. that's 1.5 hours spent wandering around, waiting, wasting time.

today the teacher tried to strip a student. or pretend to. because they started a pornography club degrading a fellow [hated] student. they had the whole hate club membership jazz, with club CREED! goodness. and they are all primary four punks. primary four!! when i was their age i was still happily hopskotching and fivestone tossing, and colouring my colouring books. i think. and they are surfing porn. they drew some sickeningly explicit comics, wrote a vulgar profane song [to the tune of Barney, no less.], so the teacher told one of them that since he planned all this against his classmate he was no different from a premedidating rapist.that the school does not need students like him and he can jolly well stay and be sick with the cold-blooded crocodiles.

and that's why she threatened to strip him. cos if he has guts to draw and write all that, he should have the guts to bare all. euck. i was traumatised, not sure about him. [he didn't strip la, k? the thought of it and the threat of those few unbuttoned buttons was bad enough.]

while i was meandering for 1.5 hours i bought myself a book "The Road Less Travelled" by Scott M. Peck. It begins with 'life is difficult'. i have no idea why i bought it, perhaps because it is an award winning book, but.. more importantly, i DO know why i bought it. in a strange, contorted way mr. purvis has a lasting influence on me. his words tend to imprint themselves onto my mental tissue- he recommended us the book. he claimed that the reason the book sells is because the first sentence is: Life is Difficult. not sure about that, but what ive read so far in the book i've agreed with. about psychotherapy and life. i wonder if im neurotic or character-disordered. [or perfect? tee hee. not.]

good advice: before you bang your head down any old road, check to see if your head is on your shoulders, and be sure that your head will remain with you at the end of the road.
